Robocalls are easy – just don’t answer if you don’t recognize the number. Now, pest control salesmen – nothing works on them, except slamming the door. Worse than sugar ants.
Charge telemarketers with home invasion. Including politicians, free speech doesn’t include your right to interrupt while I’m trying to read the funny pages.
As soon as a get a suspected spam call, I say, “Are you calling about the bike I am selling, we just lowered the price….”, they usually hang up quickly, and then I block the caller.
I have a reverse phone number look up program. After a couple of calls from the same number, I looked it up. It was a phone number in eastern Texas. When the guy called again, I told him I know where you live. I even had his address and a picture of his house. I told him, “call again and the FBI will be knocking on your door!” The calls stopped.

I’m almost to the point where, if I hear an Indian accent on the other end, I just hang up without saying a word. Then block the caller.
I realize how ugly that may sound, but 99% of the scam phone calls I get are like that.

Just say nothing if you answer and then close the call and block it.
