I wonder about PC. I’ve been told that I’m not an American since The United States does not own the entire continent. Therefore I am a “Person of the United States” not “American” unless I’m African-American or Asian-American, or Native American or Hispanic-American or (fill in the blank)-American.
I have difficulty with the term African-American. Not every person of apparent African descent is American. The person could be African-Canadian, or African-Mexican or African-Chinese or – get this – African!
Children aren’t boys and girls anymore, either. you have to wait until they’re old enough to decide for themselves what they want to be. Right, Target stores?

The United States of Brasil does not have America in its name.Calling us America is simple and causes no confusion anywhere in the world.Calling ourselves Americans is reasonable and protected under Free Speech in the First Amendment..By the way, the above comic panel is just a joke and not the real state of affairs.

I think the worst I ever heard was when the judge asked the jury for a verdict, and began, “Madam Foreperson…”

I am very proud to be called Abuelo or Abuelito by my four little ones here in Ecuador and Gramps by my grown, gringo grandson, in the States.

I agree with all the anti PC but being a Grand Person sounds pretty good. But, I still want to be Grammy to certain people.

This might be funny if developments of late didn’t indicate that it’s highly likely to happen.

You managed to misspell both Hawaii and Brazil. Forgive me if I don’t take you that seriously.

There’s already a gender neutral word — grandparent. Stupid cartoon based on nothing.
