I have seen figures that the average man uses 7,000 words a day and the average woman about 20,000. I don’t know if that is universally true. However, it is not true for my wife. 20,000 is well short of the mark. It’s part of her personality and I guess after the nearly 60 years we’ve known each other, I’m used to it by now.
