I once wrote the editor of my local newspaper. “However, your newspaper is not totally useless; mixed with other manure, it gives the right consistency to my compost heap.”
In the 60’s I was a display ad rep for mid major newspaper with a print circulation of over 300k. A great paper, two separate editorial staffs produced under 2 different banners each day, with one large Sunday edition. Won major awards every year. Actually printed and distributed the first tabloid sized college catalog east of the Mississippi, which gave a boost to what became a major mid-Atlantic Coast Uni.
As of 2022 the print circulation was under 40k and digital was less than 25k. A sorry situation. The print version covers almost no city and local news but reprints random national articles. It seems best designed for the bottoms of bird cages and kitty litter boxes.

Certain of the editorial cartoons would be suitable to his distaste.

It’s o.k. It’s the latest Clay Bennet comic.

The bird is trying to splat on himself in the Herman comic down there. He’ll want a cracker reward if he aims right.

He likes to give the editorials a rebuttal…

So, the bird made an editorial comment on the comics page?
monya_43 12 months ago
A lot of times, neither are worth a poop.

There is.. some pleasure from pooping on a particular editorial. And I think a smart bird would feel the same way.

When I had a Cockatiel, I put the new car ads in the cage, I wanted him to have the same priveleges as the outside birds.
