Smart phones aren’t all that smart.

More fun to look at than the person you’re talking to.

Our eldest daughter keeps offering to buy us one – or two. No, thanks.

I finally got a smart phone last month. $30

(I bought another one a year or so back but never turned on the phone part, just used it as a $30 teeny tablet and book reader and GPS and calculator and alarm clock and….)

My sister/husband use their smartphones all the time.

Flip phones are only good for talking to people on the phone. I hate talking to people on the phone.

Knowing Joe’s Pop, he must have bought a smart phone exclusively so he could tweet about Klondike Ike.

While I resisted for many, many years (until my wife gave me an ultimatum that I HAD to have a Smart Phone), I now must admit that I find having one valuable. I tend to spend LESS overall time on the Internet because I spend less time in front of my actual computer…. the Smart Phone allows me to quickly access a few items on the Internet that I occasionally need…. but does not lend itself to as much Internet meandering for me as does my actual computer.

I have a slider myself, the physical keyboard makes texting easier, but I still miss my old flip phone every time the stupid keyguard fails
