Fable of the North Wind and Sun

One of my daughter’s classmates has started name-calling. I advised her to accept the name as a compliment and act as though the person is being friendly. Odds are, the would-be bully will move on to an easier target to upset.

not in my experience….

I’ve learned that when in one of those moments where everyone is gonna laugh, to laugh first. That way, everyone is, perforce, laughing with you.

And if you meet a bully that just won’t stop and is not taken in then use the blows that disable. Try not to kill them. They have their own problems that no one wants to help them. Make sure they can’t just get up.

Whatever the job requires.
