This arc coinciding with a 4th of July Twilight Zone marathon that featured Richard Haydn living with vengeful technology is a bit doodoodoodoodoodoodoodoo!
Just unplug or turn off your exercise machine. I have indoor skier/glider no power just me. One that I really love Airedale glider real easy to use, but only lasted 3 months before broke down.
Try changing your Wi-fi password so it is no longer connected to the internet. Then uninstall any app you put on your phone that connects to it. Though $49/mo to not have to go to a gym sounds like a bargain IF you like cycling (I don’t).

Don’t pay your internet and it will eventually get fed up and leave on it’s own.

At some time, the exercise bike will make its transition to valet and be no trouble at all.

Hah! It can often seem that those infernal machines are trying to control us. My own “sport watch” yells at me to “MOVE” every so often.

Just don’t let Arnold Schwarzenegger get close to it.
You don’t know if he will be pre or post reprogramming.
