Hmm, seems that the pine aerosols should be large enough to be removed by the HEPA unit. Yeah, I know, they are adding the fine after filtration, but when the air circulates the pine aerosols will get captured.
Hospitals are an arena for the development of genetically superior bacteria and viruses. Darwin’s Law applies. Disinfectants kill the weakest bugs and the survivors live to reproduce.

When I was in the hospital for a few days last August, they had a cleaner used by the janitors that smelled really great — much better than pine.

Is the health care wing on PINE Street?
(I actually think that it’s on Civic Center Blvd., as part of Penn Medicine!)

Scent free would be better. Especially in a healthcare setting.

Haven’t been in a hospital in a while. Have others been doing that?

My HEPAs do not add any scent and the activated charcoal stage removes odors.

Hospitals that smell like rubbing alcohol are depressing.
I vote for marinara sauce smell.

Some people are allergic to pine. Piping a pine scent into hospital air is a really bad idea.

I think a lot of people are using citrus cleaners/ air freshener/anti-bacterial sprays. I do, and they seem to run out of them first.

Carbolic, anyone? I’ll vote for isopropyl alcohol scent as mentioned above, and against “pine”.
Though in the building where I work, the cleaning crew uses a sawdust-based carpet cleaning compound, and it actually smells pretty good.

I’m allergic to artificial scents as are many other people. I was not aware one could scent a HEPA filter. I use them to get rid of those smells!

How about bacon? Oh, yeah, the vegans and vegetarians would have issues.
