You see, kids, back in the olden days, there was this thing called “film” that you needed if you wanted to take pictures. But in order to get your pictures, it had to be “developed” with chemicals in a “darkroom.” Yes, I’m old.
And there’s the joke about the traveling photographer who was preparing to shoot the two naive farm girls. He’d been under the hood adjusting the old-time camera for a time. One of the girls asked the other what he was doing. “Trying to focus,” the other said. “Boaf us?” said the first.
Something doesn’t click here. I thought they’d be better developed. Or that he’d know enough to use a fixer. He should learn more about depth of field too. And what about self exposure, timed release, and… mounting?
This is why there was always a rotating door or a double door with an interlock. Modern film was so sensitive it required IR lighting and night vision glasses.

I spent much of my young professional and personal life working in darkrooms. Now, thanks to you, John, I’m suddenly feeling seriously disappointed.

Don’t worry sister. I think he’s got plenty of focus to go around.
And more outstanding work from Diego today.

Don’t know why he would have a follow spot in a darkroom, maybe just to block the door.

Why is there an iron lung in that darkroom?

He’s only got digital zoom. The longer it gets, the softer it is.
