All of a sudden in the last 2 panels, I’m seeing Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler and Dick’s singing “I Only Have Eyes For You.” Part of it goes, “Are the stars in the sky, maybe millions of people walk bye. But I only have eyes for you.”

I understand this was supposed to be a four-panel strip but the fourth panel was rejected because you couldn’t see anything through the steam.

Oh thank Mogg. I thought Tiff was going to sail in and ruin this moment. Plenty of drama to come, but at least the welcoming committee was the right one.

Man, I hate this storyline and all the sentimental dreck associated with it. Ugh. Awful. Most of the other romances in the strip are much more compelling. Quill is a tedious cipher, Luann’s feelings for him seem incredibly vapid and superficial, and their dialogue is ridiculous. Can’t wait for this storyline to end.

All that’s left to do is make Tiffany feel bad/silly or set up circumstances at that camp to make Luann doubt Quill somehow. Ah, Teen Drama. I’d rather Greg cut away from the camp for two weeks and spend it on Bernice finding someone nice or Delta discovering what a complete poseur she is. That would be interesting. Oo! I know! Have Delta discover religion! Not the cult-ish thing she’s into already, but Christianity. Even more interesting!

Like how Greg slowly blacked-out everything but Luann and Quill through the three panels.Well, now that Luann has FINALLY gotten that kiss she’s been waiting for, we can move the story along…

If Aaron showed up, I wonder what could he be doing, life-wise? And provided there’s truly no more Lian, where would he fit in? No room available at “La Casa de Corazon de la Luann”… there is a room in “L’Hotel de Tiffany”, but it’s “booked up”….. No admittance at Hotel Ber…. wait a minute….hmm…….… uh… okay, maybe not even..… that kinda hurt just thinking about it ….

When Quill announced he was leaving, when he got the call from his father that they were returning to Austrailia, there was a lingering peck…. albeit a bittersweet one.. .

Maybe – and just like Brad & Toni there will be lotsa setbacks to ongoing bliss. Crisis builds interest and as William Shakespeare said “The course of true love never did run smooth.”

I’m happy for Luann and Quill, and I hope this is the real deal, true love for them. But when Quill has to head back to Australia again after the summer is over, it will be very hard for both Luann and the readers won’t it? Hoping Tiffany will cut her losses, and accept losing this one with as much grace as she can manage.

The recording a song bit was Quill’s “Gift Horse” (didn’t want to encourage anyone), his ulterior motive way of coming over to see her, since she “ruled out” dating, and then she started realizing her mistake, as he actually had to leave the country… the kiss was a lingering peck, a bittersweet goodbye, and it was ironic because that’s when they started their relationship, via Skype….

I don’t get why Frank had to come along.

Unless either Quill or Luann sent a message to Tiffany saying when the plane arrived, she would have no idea he was at the airport. Luann would not let Tiff know, and if Quill did, well, he is not as uninterested in Tiffany as many of you seem to think.

Or, at least, he may not have been as careful with his words/plans in re: Tiff. I’d not put it past Tiff to manipulate Quill into providing that info, regardless of what he feels about her. After all, both he and Tiff are going to the summer camp. And, perhaps, Tiff might be monitoring the flights from Australia, etc. Heck, Tiff could even have a tail on Luann’s car… Lots of different scenarios. :)

Forgot about that one! She must have got on board one episode before cancellation, or she still thinks there’s a “chance” to get on the show… (XD)<[Ha Ha Ha!]

@Mordock999- A double date with Quill/Luann and Rosa/Gunther is a wonderful idea! After the bowling ‘date’, it’s not unlikely either. I hope you are right, that would be a lot of fun to see.

@Dave53— I wonder if I might ask a favor. I read somewhere that Tiffany kissed TJ during some kind of Fire House meal scam they were running, which I was not lucky enough to be around to read. Can you tell me anything about this? Did Tiffany show a real interest in TJ? The thought fills me with horror, yet, the goddess does as she wills, and it is not for me to judge her, only to accept what is…. :)

Thanks all for the info on the Firehouse Meals storyline, I will read that tonight:) Very glad I was wrong and Tiff didn’t kiss T.J. it’s made my day:) Sun is shining, there’s a breeze in the sky, and Smiley the Crocodiley hasn’t bit off our Tiff’s lips:)

Aaron and Delta? I can’t make a case for that one at all. Delta and TJ I can see. Between his ruthlessness and her drive, they might very well conquer the world. Delta and Ox I can see. He would appreciate her desire to do good, and she would appreciate his enthusiasm about her projects. Aaron is just a boy version of Luann, who Delta may love dearly, but doesn’t particularly like.

I partially disagree. Donny is as welcome to want to believe his favorite character is gay as you are to want your favorite to be a guy magnet. It ain’t so, but he’s welcome to pretend. I would love for him to stop referring to 80s style bathing suits because it is disrespectful and, well, gross. My main objection to him is his hostility to other posters and to the strips creator. Have fun with whatever floats your boat, but keep the mean off the page.

Wow, Leviticus I just read the 12/13/95 strip…okay, I can see a darker side to Tiffany now. Might explain why some of you love to hate her. I have to admit that since I started reading last year, I haven’t seen Tiff pull off something quite that nasty. Oh well, she was younger then. Now she is mellowing ( I hope). TJ though, he seems the same as he was in 12/13/95…. Must remember, ‘People don’t change just because you learn more about them’… for good or bad, she is Tiffany:)

Discord? No problem at all! Nobody is me, and I’m not anybody else… many of us agree on some things, and yet among each of us, differ in other points of view… and some disagree about other stuff.. some disagree about just about everything…. variety definitely IS the spice of life… but my point is, there’s a way to present our differing points of view and the like.. we each agree and disagree, and it’s fun (and actually a great mental exercise) how each of our styles come together to do it… when you subtract the certain one, we all can disagree and agree without it degenerating into “two minutes hate”, to use an Orwellian term…

I enjoy everyone’s posts… really… I just get tired of the one attacking out of nowhere, I guess…==And I just wanted to throw out some support… I feel compelled every time I see them attacking people…

Okay, I just read the great Fireman’s Meals Con Job… Our sweet Tiffany was teeny bit naughty there, but she didn’t set out to con anyone (and blackmailing TJ is almost a public service, ha ha ha!)…it just….kind of happened? So, it’s nobodies fault really…just one of those things… (runs from the angry mobs)

“I have found through life, some things you form a callus against, or compartmentalize them.”^Oh, don’t get me wrong- as a writer, I usually redirect things into song lyrics, or a prose… that’s my way of dealing with those things that cause friction… And I usually don’t feel the need to react to everything right away…==It’s just that for the past two days,, their attacks got more relenting, and after a few days, I just felt the need to show my support for the “attacked”… I just like to stand up for people (though people do a good job themselves) , and I waited a long time to do so… I ignore what they say to me usually, myself (you should have seen yesterday) but I hate seeing them do that with other people… The Bible says “don’t let the sun set with you in a provoked state”, and I take that seriously… My wife and I joke, and I leave any problems at the front door, I treat my house as an oasis… I just get compelled once in a while to take a stand….

@ Sara—- I think you are right, Tiffany did need to be punished for what she did in the Fireman’s Meal scandal. I appreciate you all directing me to that story, I hadn’t realized she’d lost her Ms. Chamber of Commerce title. I thought she still had it because she asked Quill early on to come be a speaker at that organization, didn’t she?

Bernice and Aaron dancing together did give us a few lovely panels. As a boy version of Luann, it would make sense for Bernice to enjoy being with him, much like Wilson and CTB from House. It is now officially only my dislike of Aaron that would prevent me approving this match. I want to see him try to play Luann and Tiffany against each other, and be totally ignored by both.

Hmm. Has potential. Mikeyj would like it, since it would involve Quill getting deported.
