It will seem that this is one of those days that will polarize… those who don’t care much for Tiffany (or those types of people she represents in her character type) will see only the negative view of her in her portrayal/actions/expressions here.. ==Though Tiffany is the antagonist that seems made for ‘hating’, can’t she get a break? As if she must forever be branded? This harkens back to the other day’s discussion, whether or not some people can change… if Lu can be said to be changing for the better, cant it be said for Tiffany as well? There are even TV shows where the antagonist was still the antagonist, but you saw a new side to them in certain episodes, they started catching a break here and there, and the protagonist and antagonist may have continued in the conflict, but they learned to see each other a little differently… ==Take “Speed” and “Racer X” (sans the part where we knew all along that they were brothers)…. they were rivals at first… still competitive, but eventually the dynamic changed between them for the better… Kim Possible and Bonnie… they still were ‘rivals’, but were able to be around each other near the end of the series without all the ‘cat fights’…. same for Drakken when he actually helped save the world… Betty and Veronica…. Klingons vs. Humans… there were even several ‘Trek’ episodes where Romulans and Starfleet cooperated for a mutual cause, and both sides put aside their differences….==Tiffany and Lu are just as similar as they are different… there’s two sides to the coin…

Then again, later, Tiff might go nuts wondering what Luann’s going to do with that picture with her signature on it.^Hence today’s ‘sponsors’, ha ha!…. Drawing mustaches on pics, dart boards, etc….

Anyone else not believing that Tiffany would know the proper use of the word ‘whom’? Her grammar in that last sentence is perfect, and I doubt Tiffany is capable of that.

Tiffany’s lines were 85% flirting? From what we saw of the play on Saturday, George was being just as “frisky” as Martha. But more to the point – they were flirting in a very 18th century fashion (just read that dialog!), which would seem quite unnatural today. That’s acting, people, and it’s good to see that Luann is acknowledging that Tiffany is in fact good at it. Will that help silence some of the unfounded “Tiffany is a terrible actress, because she’s a bad person!!!” criticism around here?

Tiff’s question is appropriate, not necessarily a snub. Since Luann is paying for the autograph, Luann could (perhaps should) ask Tiff to sign it “with love” to, say, “Dick Hertz” or “Ivan Kutchakokov”.

I am a Tiffany fan. Lord knows, it’s hard sometimes, but strips like today’s reminds me why I am.

Why would Luann buy an autographed photo? That doesn’t make sense, she was just being the big person to go over and compliment her on her acting. She wouldn’t buy a photo. Unless there’s more to this to come tomorrow that makes sense.

A flirt is a flirt. Doesn’t matter if it’s “period” English or modern English, if one is a flirt then one can flirt anytime anywhere——there’s no acting required. So now we know how Tiff got the lead. :DAs for Luann——very classy move on her part. Tiff would absolutely NOT do the same if the situation were reversed, although I doubt Luann would be vain and shallow enough to set up a booth selling photos of herself.

I know that you posted the link, but I found some other points there that I wanted to highlight just to show everyone that there can be room for both Lu and Tiff to have another facet to their personality:-As your cast has moved into their teenage years, you’ve maintained that realism, with one glaring exception — Tiffany. She’s become a shallow soap-opera villain. Surely, Tiffany’s craving for male attention is rooted in insecurity. If Tiffany had the same degree of realism as the other characters, we would see some hint of her insecurity. Maybe her parents are divorced and/or have problems with gambling or alcohol, and she’s really jealous of Luann’s stable home life. -Greg Evans: Tiffany is one of my favorite characters because she’s so evil. Actors prefer to play the bad guy over the good guy and it’s the same with writing. You’re right about Tiffany’s background – there’s a definite story there and I intend to explore it someday. ==New York, N.Y.: It is good that you have a main character who is basically good but has flaws. Sometimes Luann comes across so self-centered, I feel like she should go over a parent’s knees. When Quill pointed that out, Gunth did a double-take – woulda been a definitive spit-take if he’d been drinking a soda at the moment…

Gunth deserves a little noodge now and again; two so chronologically close would be a blast and leave us with a great cliff-hanger as we switch to Brad & Toni for a couple weeks. The honeymoon hasn’t been documented, after all…

Am I the only one just a little suspicious that something big is coming up? This is only Tuesday, surely they’re not going to just hug one another for the rest of the week. Perhaps Quill will introduce Luann to the director and we’ll find out why she wasn’t accepted?—there’s no evidence that it’s that elite of a comp, or Quill and Tiffany would have had some competition for the lead.

Iam, I get your point, but what I was trying to say was that if all the campers were really written as top notch, serious actors we would have seen some high drama and competition.

A smart move. Tiff might just make it big with her drive. If she does that ten dollar autographed photo will be worth big bucks someday.

Iam—true, actors writers etc do sign autographs for a fee. What is more unusual is for an amateur to do so. However good, this is not a professional production. No college productions, let alone community theater productions do so that I know of—and I have been involved in both.

“Could this be a possible reason of her jealousy of Luann?”^Could be… that is one of those hard lessons some learn as teens… not only who your real friends are, but that some are the ‘haves’ and some are the ‘have nots’… another ironic thing, as Tiff has ‘money’, but not the one thing she so craves….

Each arc featuring Tiffany makes me like her just a little bit more. At the rate she is improving, on a 0 – 10 scale, TJ being 0, Bernice being 10, in another 4 or 5 arcs, she will be up to 3^^Hate Tiff, but, her big happy smile at Lu brings her up to a2.0 from a zero…. MPQ goes from a -100 to a -75

When all is said and done with this arc, I STILL feel the locked door story needed a more satisfactory (And believable) ending

It appeared to me that Quill is Very Bored with the whole Tiffany subject. Not impressed At All. If he had been, he would have been over at Tiffany’s table, if only to congratulate her. But he didn’t…and Luann did, even though she did so grudgingly. BTW, one wonders if Tiff’s picture of herself was from the Zede flop, or if it will be used as part of her “famous” picture frame photo. I have a feeling that Tiffany’s photo is going to be a non-issue, with the people who said they wanted her backing out. Otherwise, I think lt is just too good to be true.

I don’t think the camp has a contract with that magazine.

Well, the pups in the first photo were oozing the “awww” factor, maybe they were too “aww” ….. or Aaron Hill is also an ‘agent’, and is deep undercover in Hawaii, and that “Dingo report” may have blown his cover… not a strange occurrence for the media…

It’s quite possible that Quill isn’t selling photos largely because he has none to sell. Tiffany, of course, does have a significant professional portfolio of headshots already.

I’ve been to a lot of autograph shows, and the person signing always asks to whom it should be made out, even if they know your name. In fact, if they do know you, it is even more likely that you’re buying the photo for someone else. That’s hardly an unreasonable scenario – for instance, Luann (or Toni, or Bradd) could be buying a photo for Shannon, as a souvenir of the play to give to her when they get back. (Her alleged father is an actor, right? Then maybe she has a special interest in collecting such souvenirs.)

Somehow, it’s hard to see Tiffany as “changing for the better” when she purposely grabbed someone else’s boyfriend, kissed him, took a picture and sent that picture to his girlfriend with no explanation that this was part of the script.

I wasn’t thinking…. it would make more sense that an ‘aloha’ op would have to report to a ‘SoCal’ op…..
