Continued from yesterday. The Luann Activity Tracker visitors were:63 – U.S.2 – Canada1 – Singapore1 – Germany1 – IrelandTo answer your question about when people comment on Luann, for those in the U.S., it seems to be pretty evenly spread throughout the day.On the other hand, the Tracker got mentioned on the GoComics Facebook page yesterday afternoon, which may throw the numbers off a little.

It’s nice to see Bernice giving this a try. She doesn’t strike me as the type to believe in the metaphysical, so her participation shows she has an open minded side as well as the pessimistic side she was showing Luann a few days ago. I don’t know why I’ve usually tended to try to see every days strip in terms of black and white and out of the context of the many years Mr. Evans has developed these characters. Like with Tiffany, I adore the character, and I find I always try to interpret her in a positive light. When I can’t (and I admit now that sometimes she can be a little stinker), I feel unhappy and get angry that Mr. Evans has somehow failed to be consistent, when in fact the character is simply more complex than I am willing to admit. I want to put Tiff on a pedestal, where many want to believe she is the source of all evil in the Luann-i-verse. So these past days, I’ve still liked Bernice even though she’s been kind of a snapping turtle. Now I need to advance Dez some benefit of the doubt. I don’t like her now, but in a few months, who knows?

Geez, Luann! Left! How contrary can you be? (That’s Bernice’s job.)

The best Bernice strip of the past two weeks: She’s trying something different and she’s not scolding anyone. Surely this is an alien pod person Bernice and the real one was captured between yesterday’s strip and todays!

comments sound like my psyche class oh so many years ago. just wondering how many of the readers are frustrated psyche majors – just saying

i never could do what they are doing cause i would start laughing or giggling and ruin the ‘moment’ or get kick out for being an unbeliever. ohmmmmmmm-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz snort – oh sorry fell asleep :)

Luann is one of about a half dozen comics that I check every day, but it taps you gently, never delivering a real punch. The whole Gunther-Rosa thing slowly just deflated, when circumstances almost demanded a sexual involvement. So don’t go telling me to look at another strip, because I’m just resigned to the fact that Greg’s characters are bland but the art work is pretty good. It’s like looking for shark in a goldfish pond.

I don’t usually agree with ‘How the Duck’, but I think that suggestion was correct; probably Dez meant ‘synaptic’ because of synapses in the brain…

Night-Gaunt49… your printing of the definition of SYNOPTIC – observations that give a broad view of a subject at a particular time…. is appreciated. I had not heard the word before, and had thought Greg had meant to say synaptic (I am a biologist). I will have to remember this word, synoptic. It sounds rather “new-agey” used here, but I think I could find some fun uses for it in daily life.

Gonna have to say that Dez is off in my proverbial left field… Not a hater… just not digging it.

Interesting, Dave53…. I see how the word “synoptic” fits for the four Gospels. As a Roman Catholic, I had never heard or read the term before, but because of your example, I looked and found that the word is used in Roman Catholic theology about the Gospels too. I feel a bit chagrined at not knowing of this word previously. I am glad I know of it now, however. :) Thank you to Greg and to the commenters here who wrote about synoptic.

I really like Dez. Meditation is not an obscure practice. Various forms of meditation exist all over the world and have for ages. I do think the meaning should probably be synaptic channels, not synoptic.

Luann is concerned that she focused on the wrong toe for a bit….uh oh….now the energies are wrong, and if the card she picks is not favorable she could blame that. Bernice is playing along because Dez is her room mate and Bernice likes Dez.

Dez’s evaluation of Bernice when they first met was that she had a “gorgeous aqua energy pulse” that was “so compatible” with Dez’s vibrations… quite different from her evaluation of Luann. Hmmmmm……must mean that Bernice and Dez are compatible. So Bernice is going along with this procedure.

I tend to see Bernice & Luann as friends with complimentary perspectives, not so much as opposites. Luann is a bit too flighty & Bernice a bit too grounded and static. They both learn from each other whether they admit it or not.

After building the poll, I tried going back and adding Cuddles and Puddles, but they weren’t showing up in the list. I don’t know if that’s because there’s a 5-answer limit on polls, or that I can’t edit in new answers after publishing it.Big point though – Only one person likes Frank.

I think I’ll only have new polls once a week. Suggestions will be accepted via the comments section on Luann Tracker.

Those of us who no longer see Bernice and Luann as friends don’t see them as enemies. We just don’t see them as friends anymore. It’s not the same thing.
