I can appreciate that. When I had my knee replacement, I was on a blood thinner for a couple of weeks. I was never warm. Of course it did not help that several times a day, I would wrap my leg up in ice.

Granny has poor circulation, like many of us who have reached an advanced age. Actually, I don’t know why they call it advanced age. Seems to me as if my joints are getting stiffer, muscles are shrinking, walking is some times as tricky as than when I was 2 or 3. Not an advance I can appreciate.

All of her life, Mum kept the house just below 70 “to save money”. As she got older, the house got warmer and warmer and warmer, until I could hardly stand it.

What I don’t get is people (looking at you, sister-in-law) who, in the winter, turn the heat to 78°, and wear sweaters inside – but in summer, turn the A/C to 70°, and wear shorts.

Said sister-in-law once showed up at our door in Jn or Feb; I answered it wearing shorts & a T.

“Don’t you know it’s freezing outside??”

“Yeah – but I’m not outside.”

Keep my room at 77 degrees (F) and I’m a happy camper.

When my dad was in his last few years, he would keep the heat up to 85. In August.
