That theater group needs to follow the PBS/NPR plan. Become a public trust, get funding via federal & corporation money. At the same time make on-air pleas for donations from the public to ‘support quality programming’ while running the same dated and often indifferent programs every day. Then set up as an online channel with a membership fee. Can’t go wrong with that.

Years ago it was reported that Joan Krok, the wife of the founder of MacDonald’s empire, bequeathed $200 million dollars to the PBS network. Gotta wonder whatever happened to that?

I’ve acted in skits and in games. I’m not any good at it, but I like doing it.

I think I do my best acting at job interviews: I can get them to believe that I am actually interested in the job. I can turn on the excitement meter and “get into the part.”

We’re in the middle of our 16th 10 minute play festival, and last week I got a text message from a guy I did some work for, telling me that he was on Broadway waiting for the curtain to go up on “The Play That Goes Wrong” Our local theater did it a year and a half ago, and I designed and built the set. He wanted to see if the original set was as good as mine.
