At the first field hockey tournament we went to (when Sarah was recruited away from soccer), a referee told us she really enjoyed the fact that most of the parents didn’t understand the signals, and thus were less prone to argue every one of them.
There’s one grandpa who was always in our stands who used to be a field hockey ref himself, and I’ll bet they hated him. Not so much for his knowledge, but for his certainty in it and willingness to shout it out. I was always afraid he was going to earn us a penalty.
So “lifeguard” Monty gets his jollies by trying to lay Guilt Trips on the neighbors? No wonder Parker detests him! If the Nuttinghams (who live nearby) saw this, I dare say they’d have an HOA discipline Monty….

Based on the 3rd panel, he is commenting about an intercourse position. But is he advocating it, or forbiding it?

Luckily, the neighbor and his guests are putting up with this for the sake of the comic strip. But I wouldn’t count on it lasting much longer.
