The Koreans are not Chinese, and they have their own alphabet.

Reminded of a suggestion in the 1990s when much of the news was from Bosnia, with many consonants in place named, and Somalia, with as many vowels in theirs, that the two countries exchanged one for the other.

Korean and Chinese use symbols for writing. Vietnamese have an alphabet that they got from the French.
