When you spend your work day poling a boat over the River Styx, you’ve got to get your giggles when you can.
Speaking of Styx:
I thought that they were angels, but to my surpriseThey climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skiesSinging come sail away, come sail awayCome sail away with me
ugh. sheik.\
i had a clueless captain aboard the JFK that thought that made a great Breakaway tune (the music that ships play when they “floor it” upon completing a ship-to-ship transfer)
tacky.
Barbaratoo…Tip #1 on “how to get that song out of your head” - stand next to someone while humming the tune. As soon as they start humming or singing it, walk away! Now it’s THEIR problem!
Not much of a living, since he only gets a penny from each passenger. I suppose he makes up for it in volume, though. On the other hand, Death Taxes are pretty steep, and he never gets a day off…
I wonder who’s fool enough to actually click on the spam links? There must be a reason why this keeps up, since the spamme only makes money when somebody clicks, and maybe buys something.
NEVER buy from a spammer. That, and maybe reporting them to their ISPs (most of whom will disconnect the spammers for violating TOS) are the only ways to really stop them.
Tomb it may concern:
Make no bones about it, this boatman has a shady position.
I don’t know how much it pays but I’m sure he makes a killing!
He’s playing out in the Styx, he has a grave sense of humor, sounds like some comedians I know of.
My question is on Karen who are they referring to?
The comic on this strip reminds me of my so-so death job. And I just got slammed Thurs. Made me so very mad.
Just his luck: he doesn’t get the Grim Reaper, but the Jovial Reaper. My luck: I’d probably get the Punny Reaper–but many would say that’s ironic justice….

With a giggle like that, maybe the Underworld’s ferryboat operator *is* named Karen.

(Talk about “groan”…) Sheik Yerbouti that was just plain mean to put that song in my head for the day!

Love it ;-) I love humor that is about 15 degrees off center. A touch of the macabre first thing in the morning sets the tone for the day };-)

Don’t hate me, but I’ve got to ask. Is it possible the passenger in the front is Dick Cheney?
Justice22 about 14 years ago
^ No, DC has 9 lives like a stinking cat.

Kab,
A play on Charon, the ferryman across the river Styx. These puns got a first run a few weeks ago on “Mythtickle.”
