Actually, I’d rather guess they are, heavy overweight is more common there, as it is much cheaper to get oversized junk food as compared to a tiny fancy meal.

You know, our parents…skinny and trim…used to smoke. A lot.

And then there’s the GROWTH HORMONES in meat animals.Interesting, huh? Nah, couldn’t affect YOUR kid. Or you.

And corn syrup sweetener, same stuff used to fatten hogs…in all your sodas, ‘sports’ drinks, candies.

And then there’s the cheaply-built companies that make profit by processing more seductive treats and tastes…cheaply.

I’ll bet there’s a hundred thousand calories manufactured forevery inhabitant of the country…every day. Market market market sell sell sell. Fat U. The sidewalks aren’t as wide, but then…come on, nobody uses the sidewalks. That’s called walking…

Oh my, a pet peeve topic of mine. I wish we would focus more on being healthy with a variety of body shapes than just plain being “thin and beautiful”. We have such a dysfunctional relationship with food and our bodies in this country, is it any wonder that we suffer from obesity and anorexia?

It is the aliens! They secretly run this country and they are fattening us all up for ‘abduction’, then they make everyone left ‘forget’ – that is the reason for the illegal aliens – someone has to do the hard work.

The grocery store aisles are looking smaller as well. An amusement of mine s to look at the items in one’s shopping cart. Very often it is very telling when you compare the items to the person pushing the cart.

Oh, my gosh! It never clicked until now! You guys are right! We ARE being fattened up just like the cows and pigs out there! It’s a gov’t conspiracy to sell us to the aliens as feed!!Well, thank goodness, I don’t eat fast food, cook all of my own food, and am vegetarian. Wait. OH NO! They’ll sell me as organic!!

Lower-income people in this country may weigh more than the 1%ers, on average, but the people in today’s strip appear to be dressed all fancy while emerging from a classy hotel. One would think that they’re lining up to be picked up by their limos.

Just stop eating anything that is subsidized. If you are over the poverty line you can afford it. You don’t need the high energy content of the those foods anyway. So no Milk Wheat Corn(HFCS) or Soy. All those things in fermented form are fine ie sour cream, cheese, yogurt etc. as long as they don’t add gluten or HFCS. They make subsidized food so cheap but is it so hard to pay a little more and eat healthier.

The govt worries about overweight people while at the same time worrying about people starving. Do you see two problems solved there?

There’s a big push on to keep kids from being overweight at the same time other kids are starving. I don’t believe EITHER “problem.” I think they’re both scams to keep our minds off the REAL problems.

Sharuniboy: Bossy comes from the Greek Bu (ox) through the Latin (and binomial generic Bos) for cattle. Old time farmers naming their family milk cow Bossy didn’t realize how classical they were.

BMI (Body Mass Index): One size fits all. You are just as healthy with 200 lbs of fat as you are with 200 lbs of muscle. And at 6’ 1" I am overweight if I weigh 207 lbs. However I am healthy if I weigh 135 lbs.
