Ewe…the P word! Just for fun, I’m shuttin’ up all day and ducking…..Except for saying, good one Mr. Miller….although Ima steal the word Splort! Should’ve copyrighted it dude….
Seriously, I was at the circus one time, fairly large venue, it was the part where the Elephants put their feet on each others back stand up and put their trunks in the air and the band goes Taa! DAAAA! And right in the middle of the pregnant silence one of those dudes let loose a load that wood do a dump truck proud. The splat was astounding, perfectly timed and had to be audible in the whole place. It was beautiful. I’ve never seen a more heartfelt standing ovation in all my years. It was the most natural was it was the perfect humorous moment and I can die a happy man…
You guys need to shake some of what you hate off your brains. There’s a difference between the spectacle-prance show and popularity contest on national media…and who runs YOUR kids’ school board and decides whether to buy educational materials or give the money to the local college football team.
You’ve let ‘them’ tar all social activity not requiring a membership fee or purchase of expensive equipment…and so you are, as Plato noted, ruled by myths.
You were taught at the very earliest years of your consciousness that you MUST be clean…‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness,’ and all you powerless suckers fall for the line,“Politics is dirty,” so you avoid finding out and causing…better schools, or smarter industries or traffic layouts…IN YOUR ’HOOD, you infantile jerks. OK, OK, go draw your immortal cartoons, write YOUR pontifications.
Whatever you do, DON’T get involved driving the bus of your social destinies in your neighborhoods. What fools these mortals be. What opportunities for blessed manipulations.
politics has always been a crappy business since the beginning of time. people say they would clean up politics, but fails. money corrupts, power corrupts.
It,s simple; politics is only what you make of it. Does not havta be a four letter word unless you succumb to those you try to dummy us up by making our way of life their agenda.
Amended for my pedantic friends: “Politics, a multi-syllabic word from Latin: “poli” (sic) meaning many, “tics” (sic) meaning blood sucking parasites." I believe the quote is attributed to Gallagher inasmuch as he was the first person I heard to say it in one of his perfomances.

Part of the problem is dealing with a public that can’t deal with any kind of objective reality.

Emotion and ideology are the principal enemies of reason.
As to the two major parties, I dislike them almost equally, and have been an Independent for the last 30+ years.
