Pierre: One of zees days, I'm goeeng to move to Tahiti... Home Cookin'. Step 1: Take out a stick of butter and soften it to room temperature. 3 Hours Later...
Ah, but “Southern” could mean the south of Canada. Even Northern Ontario might be south to him. But Nothern Ontario is pretty much anything north of the 49th parallel.
" Every one told me & the missus that we should head south for the wintah. I don’t know what they were talking about, cause it was just as cold in Kittery as it was at home!
An igloo is warm because it is the temperature of ice. 32 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is 40 below outside the temperature change is 72 degrees. T shirt weather.US Army Arctic Test Center Fort Greeley AK 1973 to 1975. Arctic survival and warfare instructor. Heck of a note. Went from Viet Nam to Alaska. Never did figure that out but loved the change. To soften his butter he needs to stick it in his pants. He is French he knows what to do.
Stay away from that Southern’ Cookin’ Pierre; it will clog up your arteries in a heartbeat. I’m not surprised that the recipe calls for a stick of butter – that’s just for your grits.
Per a Google search, "even when the temperature outside is -50 degrees F (-46 degrees C), temperatures inside the igloo can go up to 60 degrees F (16 degrees C)! "
How will he ever chill his wine to the proper temperature. With a no ice.Actually in Indian they would make ice using salt with water in an evaporation process. When the British occupied it was one of things they showed the Brits how to do. You can make ice in summer.
Besides being a bit warmer; isn’t Tahiti a French Colony or at least French speaking Island? So Pierre wouldn’t need to speak another language… or maybe just French with a Canadian accent, hey.

I don’t understand why Pierre hasn’t proceeded to Step 2. Clearly the stick of butter has softened to room temperature (to the extent it ever will).

As comedian Steven Wright once observed, “Every room is room temperature.”

There’s nothing like Home Cooking !… That’s why I left, when I was old enough to figure out where I was, and never went back.
