And the worst part, the show may change stars, but it never changes, and can’t be cancelled.

I’m not sure what’s worse, government “in action” or “inaction”. Answer: vacation.

Nicely done Willy. Love it when you thrown the ones that show the failure of the system. A depressingly large number of people distrust congress and want to vote congress out. Yet approximately 90% who run for office again will be re-elected; why? Because we don’t see our congressional representative as a part of the problem. Willy, need to follow up on this between now and November

We hear a lot of hooey about how government should be run like a business (a truly bad idea, but I digress). But would any well-run business have a board of directors who were philosophically committed to the idea that the business couldn’t possibly succeed, who spent all them time looking for ways to make it fail, and who then used the failures they worked so hard to create as evidence that they were right?

Most of the time I like political jokes. There’s nothing wrong with political jokes!
… except when they get elected

The biggest problem with political jokes, is that once elected, they are almost impossible to get rid of.

The true horror is that we keep reelecting these same individuals into office, despite the fact that they give themselves large pay raises and insist that Social Security has to be cut while taxes have to be raised…..

We’re waiting for the new President to do that, since he or she is going to have to live with his or her choice for the next 4 years.

When my grandfather was a Senator in the ’50’s he would go to his cabin in the mountains during summer recess, where he very deliberately did not have phone service. Anyone who wanted to contact him about work had to know to call the general store down the road or take a long, long drive to find him.
