Guy with the paper has just finished reading his stocks’ obituaries and probably is looking at the help wanted ads.

Anybody will give you their truth for free. Try getting substantiating facts, though.

That’s the interesting thing about social media (including comments in a comic strip). We personally enjoy the ability to express our opinions to friends and strangers, but find it almost impossible to ignore the responses or opinions of people we don’t agree with (and who also believe in “their” truth).

But, don’t we already do this, via campaign donations, with politicians?

Before the Internet it was easy for a multitude of tyrants to control the mass media and make sure that contrary views were not heard. The remaining tyrants all censor the Internet heavily.

BTW If you want any question answered by trolls and experts and know-it-alls (Oh, my!) come to Quora.com.

Anyone can remain in the “pre-internet bliss of ignoring” milieu by staying out of that ignorant loop. I do it all the time; and read newspapers daily.

The young man speaking in the city square

Is trying to tell somebody that he cares

Yeah, the ones that you’re calling wild

Are going to be the leaders in a little while

This old world’s wakin’ to a new born day

And I solemnly swear that it’ll be their way

You better help the voice of youth find

    “What is truth?”
