Lucy is claiming virtues through impossibilities. If horses don’t make war, it’s only because horses have neither the social organization or the physique to do so. Opposable thumbs probably had more to do with making humans “humans” than even increase intellectual power; horses can’t make or effectively hold spears, even if they desired to do so. Animals are often quite vicious with even their own kind if they feel the stakes are high enough and the circumstance warrants.

War is usually about territory and/or resources, not about making the other guy look/feel like a loser. SAD!

If smarter is better than better, why is the world in chaos? One reason, of course. is that to lots of nations – and individuals – making the world a better place means better for themselves at the expense of others. And the cycle continues

I thought this was Boxing Day, not Let’s Rain Scorn On Vegetarians Day. It gets a little wearisome, give it a rest please.

Perhaps Lucy is a Houyhnhnm.

I’ll take my quality of life over 10 hours of grazing per day anytime.
