When i was growing up we had Boxers. Thunder,fireworks and sirens didn’t brother them.

They may be officially cancelled, but a lot people in my neighborhood never got the memo.

Official fireworks cancelled. They have been going off here since noon and will go on till 2-3 am.

I wonder how much money people spend on fireworks? Must be hundreds and hundreds. Too bad so many people are out of work and can’t afford more.

Not here. Still going off at 0300….

About half way through our city’s display, an errant round went off and shot across the field where they were setting it off and into the parking lot. Next there were sirens.

Dance all you want, for a thunderstorm is approaching soon.

My cousin used fireworks to train his dog not to be gun shy. It was under very controlled conditions and he re-assured them after every release. His wife would set them off in the distance and move closer as the dogs adjusted. Her signal was to wait a second or two after he raised his rifle to the aim position.

Pavlov won: the dogs figured out that when he did that, a loud bang would happen soon.

About two hours of Bada Binging and BADA banging last night, starting with my next door neighbor….=~#

I just turned on a floor fan to high, put Hercules on the DVD player and turned it up! Five dogs in the house and we all got thru it good!

I only heard a few Fireworks on the 4th, but plenty of BOMBS were blasting away. My dog was fine (on my lap) with the usual but when the loud blasts started, it wasn’t good.

The big community display was cancelled as it is only a couple of blocks from where I live, I usually go for a long drive into rural areas. Stay away from the freeway as there are too many drunk drivers at that time of night.

Fireworks in my town are illegal, yet last night it was worse than ever and blew our electricity in the neighborhood for two hours! All the time, I’m thinking these are the same people who refuse to practice social distancing. Inconsiderate and obtuse.

weird how not wearing a mask or setting off a firework is illegal, when all good reason they should be, and sometimes there are not even consequences, yet you do something that is incredibly minor and not even illegal, and it is jail for you, what a strange world we live in
