It seems that George and Goldie are getting along just just fine.

It’s perfect! The animal world out for a picnic,

Good ol’ Norm. It just didn’t seem to be a real Saturday Evening Post without his work on the cover.

Hammy of all people would have been ecstatic to be George’s “pet”. He could even do things most pets and owners wouldn’t dream of doing!

I like the big “I like you” “I like you too” “can I have a bite of your sandwich” eyes going on in the back.

Where did George get the picnic basket from?

More than just mid 20th. century. He was active from the teens into the the mid ’70’s.

So this is the new Norman.

Norman Rockwell dropped out of my high school- Mamaroneck NY. (His painting ‘goin’ fishin’ hangs in the library.)So did Matt Damon. gee. what does that say about my school?

Well reposition them to make the scene better.

Who knew pretentious artists could have discriminated tastes?

A long time ago I had the chance to see a Norman Rockwell exhibit. Art critics never took him seriously, too “Common.” Yet his art has made millions of people around the world smile, and it takes a huge amount to skill to capture the emotions of the moment like he does. I would rank him as one of the most successful artists in the world.

I wish we could go back to ‘mid-century life’ right now. Meanwhile, I think that fish really needs a bigger bowl!

It can’t be a Rockwell moment when it’s not Norm-al.

It’s a little early for Thanksgiving, but let’s go with it anyway.

(It’s probably a tuna fish sandwich.)
