Not on my property all critters are welcome to come eat .
Peanuts in the shell and Black oilers for the squirrelsBlanched peanuts for the Blue jays and other birds. And classic bird seed for the rest of the winged creatures.
Actually, in German music notation, “H” indicates the note that is named “B” in other countries. If you look at old Bach manuscripts that indicate that a piece is in “H moll,” this means, in English, that it is in B Minor (H dur means B Major). In Germany, they do use the letter B, but to mean what English speakers (and most other countries) mean by B flat. The more you know.
When my favorite morning show host moved to a bland version of a classic rock station, “Sympathy For the Devil” was the worst song I had to endure every week, week after week. Just five minutes of “Woo-ho” over and over again. For all the period of time the station covered, there had to be better songs they could have played.
I think the point is that birds aren’t likely to get close enough to admire the look of unless you feed them, whereas land animals tend to be more familiar. And raccoons, while cute, are usually unwelcome because they’re clever enough for shenanigans.

I don’t feed in spring or summer, want the birds to fend for themselves then. Also there are the bears who might want a snack too.
