It’s always funny to me when Christians claim that they are monotheistic. They got Jesus, they got Mary, they got the Holy Spirit, they got all the angels, which are atleast demi-gods…
God had a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshipped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, according to an Oxford scholar. In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshipped both Yahweh and Asherah.
Yes, we have a Heavenly Mother. We don’t worship her, we revere her. And that fits with what the modern-day prophet Lorenzo Snow said “As man now is, God once was; as God now is, man may become”
This whole business of God talking to those critters behind the hedge makes me tired. I love hearing him talk, but I’d prefer it be on more contemporary issues.
Terry Pratchett’s “Hogfather” is a nominally humorous take on this, but it actually ends up being quite deep. You wouldn’t expect Santa Claus to mesh well with the Tooth Fairy, ancient blood magic, and a sociopathic assassin, but there you go – that’s Sir Pterry for you.
We worship the Norse gods, Saturn, Sun, Moon, Tuis, Wotan, Thor, Frigga. Mohamed wrote the Qur’an when living in Mecca, it was a trading center, and known for sexual misconduct, thievery, and other “Sinful” practices. He was chased out by the merchants and others. He was hiding in a cave, when they came looking for him, but a spider had spun a web across the entrance, so it was assumed the cave was empty. There are two stories about the Jews, they say they refused to accept him as a savior, the other is some Jewish men who were with him, gave away his location. He had the Jewish men executed, and the women sent back to Mecca. He is not a god, he is considered a prophet, a messenger of Allah, the god of Abraham.

I read somewhere that Ozians actually made Santa immortal.

God cannot be male or female, because being either implies a duality.

He’s talking about Sophia. Jehovah’s wife and goddess of wisdom.
