At the peak of his career, Charles Schultz used to do extended storylines like this. I truly enjoy them. This is the period that brought us “Thompson is in Trouble.”

Later, he returned to the joke-of-the-day format and there were no more storylines.

Snoopy obviously didn’t hear the word cookies.

Schulz has concocted a dandy little meet-cute.
