This reminds me of a local weatherman standing in front of a greenscreen of an amazing sunset, then as they went to the map he said “if you want to keep looking at that sunset live feed, it’s on our website and phone app!”
A Frank and Ernest strip from 1978 – meaning it isn’t available on this site unless it was later redone – showed a newscaster announcing, “The streets were quiet today in Tokyo, Athens, and Grand Rapids. —Elsewhere, fighting continued…”
Not like our day yesterday, unpredicted 1 foot of snow as I was about to leave for church! No sign of a plow, shoveled all day with a bad back! HEAVY wet snowball stuff! Also winds, lots of branches down! Changed my socks three times! Power, internet, phones went out. Spectrum told me I’d get a credit, then at midnight they reneged, said they don’t give them for outages. Told me to call my electric company, Yeah right. No water/toilets when power is out. Went in the bushes. Fun. Glad yesterday is over!
Decades and decades before smartphones, tablets and the internet. Kid Sneaker Net, repeating the gossip you heard your mother gathering on the neighborhood Party Line.
“It’s a beautiful day, don’t let it get away” — U2.; “It’s a turn down day, and I dig it!” — Cyrkle. “Lazy day, just right for lovin’ away” — Spanky and Our Gang; “Oh Happy Day”. — Edwin Hawkins Singers

I somehow get the impression that the folks at Fox News and Newsmax would brand even this FAKE NEWS FROM THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA. ;/
