I should’ve never upgraded to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S.

I like my flip tracfone. No updates.

Everything electronic needs update, supposedly for avoiding virus. But I know better. There’s a conspiracy here!

I deliberately chose a non-smart phone the last time I upgraded. Still, somehow, my phone software got upgraded against my wishes. It now says “Call from [name]” prior to ringing.

Wish companies(TD Ameritrade,Yahoo ect) would ask before updating for most of there updates suck. If it is not broken please do not fix it !

Now if someone would be so kind as to send a copy of this strip to that “other” online comic portal so I can get the four strips I read that GoComics doesn’t carry. ’Cause they broke their interface last week.

I’m always getting bugged about updates for my iPad and phone

As I’m reading this, my phone is prompting me to update to iOS 9.3.3. I always research what early adopters are saying before pulling the trigger on any new OS update.

My thoughts with the supposed iPhone 7 – just because Tim Cook and his people get free $100+ wireless headphones / earbuds doesn’t mean the rest of us can to pay that sort of money.

But Rat, you don’t understand. They aren’t harming the people they care about harming. It’s not about not harming the end user. If every software upgrade worked perfectly, then phones would just keep on working for years and people would rarely “upgrade” to a different phone. That would harm the manufacturers and retailers who sell phones.Hey, it worked on me last time. My Galaxy S3 developed personality disorders after its final upgrade, and after a year of surfing online forums for a solution and putting up with the glitches, I upgraded to an S6. The last software upgrade on that seems to have a bug, although it’s a relatively minor one.I really do use a lot of the smart phone functions, but a flip phone is starting to look like a possibility again.

When my work got me my first smart phone, I had like 80 updates…I did those the first day, 2nd day another 60…did those, third day 53 more, a few weeks of this and I just gave up.

I don’t think programmers or companies hire QA people anymore and the public is their Quality testing, thus they just throw out 5 updates a week and figure who cares.

I’ve been with Tracfone for years (very rarely use my cell phone) and have never had an update. Now my computers, on the other hand, have regularly had to update WIndows because M/S won’t support their older programs…they could’ve stopped at Windows 7 and a LOT of people would be happy.

Rat’s gonna be pushed over the edge one of these days. And when that happens it won’t be pretty.

I think Google is running a conspiracy on Android phones. Fill the phone’s memory with meaningless upgrades ‘till it can’t work any more then expect everybody to go out and buy a new phone with more memory…rinse and repeat.

My apps on my Smartphone are updated automatically. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst.If it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it!xxx

Honestly, that should be applied to a lot of people.

This is so true it hurts.

Now, how are they going to make money that way? The policy nowadays is “fix it until you break it, then you can fix it again”.
