This obviously doesn’t work in Spanish, so they have the kid ask what “bronco” means, and Larry says if his wife doesn’t see him come home drunk, she doesn’t “echa una bronca” (start an argument).

Thanks for passing that along. It never occurred to me that different language versions of the same strip would need different jokes. One of the problems with a comic like PBS that uses a lot of word play, I suppose. I wonder if Pastis helps to write or gets to approve the Spanish version?
