Roscoe looked so happy…and then Opal had to go and spoil it all!

Opal always gets Earls blood pressure up.and not in a good way.

my SIL is getting divorced after 24 years. My girl friend got divorced last year after 49 years.

Ups and downs are all part of any relationship! Roscoe helps smooth out the bumpy times!

Thankfully, Roscoe is getting the love he deserves.

When a women gets married, she hopes to change the man. When a man gets married, he hopes his wife never changes.

So, after awhile, the man never changes, the wife always does.

Opal the “buzzkiller”.

They been together way too long to think “a talk” is going to do any good.

Finally Roscoe gets his much needed attention, then on comes “Killer” Opal.

Opal has that affect…..always nitpicking…Oy!

Wives have multiple methods of murdering spouses without leaving proof. Opal knows them all. Best not make her mad… but not possible, second best: not be there.

Uh oh……. the dog shouldn’t have let Earl up on the couch.

I’ve been enjoying all the focus on Rosco lately.

Down and up, down and up………kind of like attaching a slice of buttered toast (which always lands on the floor buttered side down) to the back of a cat (which always lands on its feet), then dropping the cat from your arms, setting off a spinning machine. Will the cat land on its feet or not?

You can’t find a man brave (dumb") enough to say, “We need to talk about you and what you need to change.” All such ard somewhere beyond their bride’s reach: dead, incarcerated or institutionalized for dementia.

So we’ll have Earl comics on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Opal strips on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with alternating Sundays. Maybe we’ll all be happier and healthier.

If I had to pet a dog my bp would jump off the scale – even just being in a room with one does so – or a cat, bird, gerbil, goldfish… I have been terrified of animals since I was a child.
