Pluggers know that things cost money (especially certian things like medicines). It behooves pluggers to get as much value from what they buy as possible.;-D
I use the dental floss container to flatten the tooth paste tube from bottom to top. Its so handy (Oral B Glide), that I think they designed it to be used that way.
Over 20 years ago I bought a two-pack of toothpaste squeezers. It is a half-moon shaped piece of heavy-duty plastic with a slit to fit over the end of the tube that slides the paste to the opening. Works really well.
I found one of those gadgets you thread the tube end through… in accordance with my wife’s stern protest against tools and/or automotive parts in the bathroom. x-D
Oh the days of the Tin tooth paste tubes that you simply rolled up tight and they stayed until the end and you just pushed the center out the top and onto your tooth brush. K.I.S.S. :-)

rather than pliers, I’d go for a vise; less painful in your hands crippled with arhtritis

Maybe he should be a bit less frugal when it comes to toothbrushes. Look at the state of that thing!

I got it admit I have even resorted to baking soda when the toothpaste is absolutely shot and beyond any use.

I saw a chart that showed people take about two months to use the first 95% of the tube and then get one more month out of the last 5%.

That’s me. I use the toothbrush handle to squeeze the dregs to the end and then roll the tube up tight and hold it with a medium size paper clamp.

Ellen had a bit about having many millions but still agonizingly extracting the last bit out of the toothpaste tube.

I miss the Good Old Days when you could roll up the tube.

Kind of silly; look how much water is running while he plays with tube.

I do the same in my hobby. I have jewelry maker’s flat pliers that i use to squeeze out the last of the tube glue and filler putty. Cheap is good!

Pliers in the middle of the tube? Let me guess: He already thinks it’s “empty.”

Yes, that’s about right, squeezing pennies of toothpaste out of the tube while dollars of water run down the sink.

Or you could just cut open the toothpaste tube. That way you get another two weeks worth.

Hmmm. Can’t be a plugger, I can only do 5 days.
dudley_tundish almost 5 years ago
Darn right. Use a piece of dowel, or something similarly cylindrical, to roll the tube and force the toothpaste to the outlet.
