You’re a plugger if you bought a smart phone because it’s gotten hard to find flip phones.

The problem with technology is that it’s often made for the young. The older prefer things simple, plain and effective while the young prefer flash and features.;-D

I do a lot of video/email/text work in my business and my smartphone actually DOES make things more efficient. It broadens my work area and availability significantly but I do not utilize it for internet, social media, or games. Got a laptop and little time for all THAT stuff. I DO have music and photos pretty full tho… really like having my music with me everywhere : )

My late wife was against having a cellphone at all until her job made them “punch” in using one and she was only recently starting to become a techie and sadly she passed away before “graduating” to fully accept it as a way of the future.

On big plus for flip phones, hard to break. They last until you can’t get new batteries or you wash them.

That is why I have 2 phones. One for phone calls the other for internet. In inclimate weather I can leave the expensive phone at home.

I didn’t want to get a ‘smart’ phone but my carrier didn’t offer a decent flip phone and to get the one I wanted would have had to go through all the gyrations of getting it unlocked so my carrier could use their SIMS card in it. After a 45 minute wait on there sellers customer service line to find that out, I wasn’t going to waste more of my valuable time to purchase and get it unlocked.

I guess I’m not a Plugger in this sense. I hate talking on a smartphone because of dropped calls or other issues. I use mine for taking pictures, alarm, timer, stopwatch, Internet, and texting when some people don’t want to email or talk on a regular phone. What bothers me the most, though, is the fact that I love the latest technology, so I tend to get a new phone every two years or so. I wish I didn’t like that stuff so much, but I do.

Our plan isn’t capable of using flip phones, but the bill is $14 a month per line, so we make do.

I use mine mostly as a camera. Sometimes it rings and startles me.

That phone looks pretty big! Of course, if Ms. Chicken is really the size of a regular chicken, it would probably be proportioned correctly. (This is totally irrelevant, but I just noticed that for some reason.)
