Isn’t it funny that “Long-hair” music used to be of Classical type, and now it’s more properly applied to Rock?

I have had long hair most of my life. Husband’s hair was short (for the “60s”, not a buzz cut, just not as long as many had) until we started doing 18th century reenacting. Then he grew his hair longer. Last time he cut it short was for his father’s funeral several decades ago.

After he quit his job his let it grow longer – a bit longer than shoulder length. One advantage to both having long hair is that I have been cutting our hair long before the pandemic started. He pulls his hair back into a “queue” (pony tail) and tells me how much to cut off. Then I cut the sides and then use his electric razor to clean up his neck. His hair goes well for the 1770s or now.

I put my hair in a pony tail, throw the pony tail over my head to the front, look in the mirror and decide how much to cut and “snip”. If not even, no one notices as I put it with a hair clip most times and with a metal barrette when doing reenactments as easier to hide under my cap.
