time to get new batteries even if the package hasn’t gone dead for a long time of no use (that is if unused batteries can go dead for a long time)

Because the plugger likes to plug everything in and forgets to buy batteries. So the batteries he has are too old.

During this election time when politician commercials infest the airways, the MUTE button surely gets a lot of use.

That’s what happens when you sit on the remote and push down the buttons for an hour.

They’d last longer if he stopped trying to send texts with it all the time.

Funny: my TV remotes recharge when you set them next to the TV. You know, like the phone: you set it on your desk every now and then, and it auto charges.

The only way to enjoy TV is to not turn it on.

My husband has a remote shaped hand. It’s really amazing when he twitches in his sleep and he changes the channels, messes up the settings, but somehow never ever turns it off.

He must be a channel-flipper. I loathe, abhor, despise, detest, & abominate channel-flipping!

Why do 1.5v batteries not work in anything but flashlights once they drop to 1.2 volts?

When husband falls asleep at night – or the rare times I am alone – I can run through all the channels seeing what is on but never actually changing the channel until I find something (rarely) or more likely come to the end and do the same in reverse to whichever channel bothers me the least. I also cannot fall asleep if it is quiet or dark – I attribute this to sharing a bedroom with my parents as until I was 4 – I got used to noise and light in the bedroom while sleeping.

Lately my TV show of choice for falling asleep has been “Bluey” a children’s cartoon show out of Australia – nice and calming for sleeping. But husband has decided that we need to get back on a normal schedule – no more falling asleep at 5 or 6 am and waking up at 2pm. (I am much worse than him – he has been more of a 4 am to noon sleeper.) We used “fall back” to move an hour of the change and will adjust more as we go along.
