I was trying to get this bolt off the car. It just would not move. Swore at it. My young son chastised me for swearing. Put the wrench back on and it moved. I said son sometimes cars only understand car repair words.
As Mark Twain replied to his wife when she chastised him for his florid language by repeating verbatim the words he used; “You have the words dear, but you’ll never master the tune.”
TV and movie writers today fill dialogue with way too much swearing. It’s lazy writing, basically filler for lack of talent. A recent example is when The Expanse (a great sci-fi series) moved from Syfy channel to Amazon for season 4. The new writers had no clue how to write and had some of the main characters just drop F-bombs in almost every sentence.
Don’t quote me, but, I read an article that gave indication that people who used constant profanity have a higher level of intelligence. Personally, I’m still scratching my head, over that one.

I just call the Law Firm of Kursen, Bitchen, and Moenan to handle my Anglo-Saxon.

When it’s the same toe on the same table leg that you stubbed just 45 minutes previously; yes.

RBION had a story recently that Jack Daniel died after stubbing his toe. That stub didn’t just hurt him, it killed him!

I’ve had quintuple bypass, WITH anesthesia, and it hurts like a mother…..

Since I can swear in multiple languages, I guess I could have brain surgery without anesthesia.
