WAIT Now I forgot what I was trying to find!

I’m not sure hurrying up in this way is going to get a faster result.

Rover is not passing the sniff test!

You have to find the correct spot, you can’t rush these things….

I usually tell my dog ‘Hurry up, there’s no test on it later!’

That’s why I usually use a leash. Not necessary but without it we’d never make it more than a few steps…

(sniffing intensifies)

i go through that every day when i take my min pin to the park. i feel sorry for the dogs who are walking with their humanwho is too busy talking on their cell, blue tooth, or to the person who is walking with them to notice that they have to pee, poop, or just want to sniff here or there.

I actually asked my vet once how dogs decide where to “stop.” He said they really don’t know. My dog definitely has to have the “right” place. I read once their choice of position for dookie is related to the magnetic poles, and my dog does tend to face southeast. But sometimes their signals are not clear, apparently, and it throws the dogs off, leaving them spinning or unclear what is correct. I spend about 5 miles or more daily walking my dog on a leash, so I have to find some sort of entertainment. My dog provides it. She’s also a trained hunter from before I adopted her, so any loud sniffing and we move on once she starts to announce the scent of her find. I prefer not to wake up the neighbors.
