Rip seems to be caressing Doc Hamster in the first panel, and Doc seems to be enjoying it, without thinking how degrading that it might be.

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Homer accidentally turned the toaster into a time machine, and created a time paradox in which his family were more sophisticated (even Bart was well-behaved), and Homer would have stayed there except for one thing…

I’m a bit sad Dan Thompson didn’t do more with the time-travel possibilities. Like maybe have Rip meet young Rip and inspire the kid to go into the business of breaking heads. All we got instead was some pancake jokes.
