Small-man-itis? Seems that was another case of sycophants stoking an insecure leader with lies and manufactured evidence for personal or political gain…to control the gas fields of a foreign country, in that case.
Russia’s reasons for invading the Ukraine are very similar…not oil fields..but the oil pipe line project that the Ukraine nixxed.
Dubya (Shrub) sent Joe Wilson on a diplomatic mission to Italy while Valerie Plame (his socialite wife, who also worked for the CIA) went with him to investigate rumors that Iraq was purchasing yellowcake uranium for use in making nuclear weapons. Wilson told Shrub that the rumor was false. Shrub then told congress that Iraq was purchasing yellowcake and that Saddam had “weapons of mass destruction” and taht we must invade Iraq to stop him. Wilson went public saying that he had told Shrub the opposite. In retaliation, Cheney’s assistant, “Scooter” Libbey went public and outed Plame as a CIA agent, thereby ending her usefulness and endangering her. republicans DO like paybacks.
For a “DELUSIONAL PRESIDENT” You should substitute the storming on the US Capitol. GWB wasn’t delusional, he purposely fabricated evidence to invade Iraq for political reasons.

George W. Bush — a guy who started not 1 but 2 multi-trillion-dollar wars against the wrong enemies.
(For those who haven’t been keeping up, no, Saddam did not have WMDs, and no, Osama was not hiding out in Afghanistan.)
