Sorry, but most of the local troubadours that I know can only play three cords and get at least one of those wrong. And they don’t know what a key is so they always sing of key
Side comment here. I’ve been going through the “Rose” archives. It’s fun seeing the changes. But it’s disappointing how few Sunday strips are available. They were gone, they came back for a short while, then they were gone again. I haven’t yet reached the point where they came back regularly. It’s a shame, because some are wonderful. Here’s a synopsis of a lovely winter strip, with Rose making methodical preparations: “Flannel nightgown. Wooly socks. Downey comforter. Toasty fire. Hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick. Window cracked just enough to hear the wind whistle. New romantic novel.” As she snuggles deep in her chair, she grins and thinks, “Ooh, ooh, ooh! How I hate winter!”

For once, giving someone a brush-off is a good thing

Yeah, not wrong. Those buskers and small-time musicians could use the help.

Heavy snowfalls this winter where I live. I dust off the snow from the feeders, especially the platform), and the birds mob it within minutes.

Has anyone seen/heard a late winter bush filled with small loudly chirping birds lately?

The redbirds used to come back in the spring. Guess this one likes the company up north.
