Adventures are troublesome things that make you late for lunch.

Gimme a cozy day with my books and my cat, any day, and I will accomplish nothing.

Mostly because my cat is very playful, and I can never read more than two sentences without her jumping on me, and running away.

Hell yeah

Exciting adventures? Aren’t those just chores?

Concur. When I retire, people tell me, “oh, you’ll be able to travel.” Sorry, I’ve traveled a lot, and would really like some quiet time.

A peaceful day with my cats and a book is a wonderful thing.

Instead of indoors, drinking coffee on the back patio listening to the soft wind chimes or on the front porch waving to the neighbors out walking their dogs.

Sitting on the deck the neighborhood cats come and sit with me. We share the pleasant quiet morning.

Well, ‘Sarah’, I see you’re still wearing that same old top. That’s OK, I wear some t-shirts (from athletic events) that are 20 years old and more. I think my oldest one is 35 years old.

If you have a lot of them, and rotate between them, they tend to last a long time. I try not to wear the oldest ones that often…

I have both of those things right now. I can tell they bring all the happiness.
