Do they really think that by lowering the entrance level to sports the spectators could qualify for that they’ll actually regain some of their lost viewers? Maybe they’ll reach the crossover point where people will figure if I’m going to spend time on it I might as well do it, rather than just watch it!
I hear they’re repurposing unused tennis courts as pickle ball courts. If you live near one, it’s noisy as frick all day long. Now Cornhole is just starting to gain traction here in the UK.
I remember playing Pickleball when I was in high school, and you really have to keep moving to try and hit the ball, so, sorry, Sherman, but moving is involved.
When I was a kid the plywood skateboard ramps moldered away after a few years the park was left with a random cement slab. My tennis coach said he and some other old timers wanted to make it pickleball court. It is still just a random cement slab with benches around it. The village put in a disc golf course all around the park instead.

I know two seniors who recently got injured playing pickleball. One broke her wrist, another twisted and ankle.

I think you have to move if your partner’s aim is bad.

The first time I EVER heard of pickleball was at a camper park near Camp Verde, AZ. What’s this? I don’t know, try it you’ll like it.

I’ll stick with table tennis. You can get just as much movement chasing a ping pong ball.

But why do they have to pickle the ball?

Are pickle balls just vegan Rocky Mountain oysters?

Sherman will be back out once he realizes it doesn’t come with a side of pickles.
