Someone told me that 93% of all the Harleys ever built were still on the road. The other 7% made it home.

Most of what makes a DeSoto also made a Chrysler.

Any vehicle can drop so many “interesting” parts and still keep running was clearly over-engineered in the first place…

And like The Professor, it backfires a lot.

Not when you are leaving what could be an old-style generator, straight-cut gears, and even a piston with connecting rod with no bearing cap…

I had a 56 red and white DeSoto and a 56 three tone Dodge. ( I bought both as low mileage used cars.) I loved my DeSoto although it was only a two speed automatic and used a lot of gas. Chrysler went to a 3-speed automatic in 57. In 1956 DeSoto was the Indy pace car.

It’s old-school GPS… if you ever got lost, you simply follow the trail back home!!

The quality goes in before the name goes on.

I’ve owned a couple of cars that could pass anything on the road … except a gas station !

One of my flash-backs to my Motor Trend Car Of The Year, my Dodge Omni. 1st Rabbit engine valve stem oil seals leaked at one year and VW recalled but not Chrysler; 2nd Normal Chrysler nits and lice troubles; 3rd transmission kaput; 4th sorry dad, a MOPAR man never a Chrysler product again; 5th retribution with their bankruptcy.

Yeah! and all the taxi’s in the old movies were Desotos. Hmmm.
