I still don’t get all the staring at phones. I often forget to take my phone with me when I leave the house. I use mine primarily to get those security numbers for two-factor verification.
I’ve never used my phone while walking (not even sure what they’re looking at). But I always have my phone with me – in the shower or toilet, in case of accident – my contactless bank card app – my book, on the tram/bus, doctor or dentist waiting room – dictionary/translator – GPS – health app – alarm – agenda – 50+ fidelity cards – language lessons – bank accounts – doctor/dentist appointment – current news – email/SMSs – Skype – Facebook with my daughters and grand kids. All of the above I only use when stationary.

At least the guy is walking, so many are just standing in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking the way.

Love the goofy teeth on the dog, at least the owner got the message and it wasn’t even on his phone.

It’s hard to take your person on a walk without him or her being distracted by something he or she sees (on his or her phone).

The dog has his owner’s goofy bugger look down pat.

Dog time is not phone time!

I don’t think it’s the speed the dog is mocking.

“What’s the difference between me looking at my phone and you stopping at every rock, shrub, and tree to sniff out who all has been there before you?”

Actually, a dog would enjoy a slow walk with the chance to get good sniffs along the way.

“and they said ‘there is no hope; we shall follow after our own devices…’ Jeremiah !8:12
Lots of that going on, eh?
