Tweens don’t learn (purposefully). They emote.

Why make plans? Life is going to grab you by your privates and drag you to wherever it wants to go. Sit back and try to enjoy the ride … until it stops. It will … eventually!

Oh, heck. I’m 82 and still haven’t made any goals.

Unfortunately, Joan, that ‘life lesson’ that you just passed on when about a foot above Holly’s head and sailed ‘off into space’ without even registering with the girl ! ! ! !

Teenagers never learn until they’re past the teens.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Never mind. You wont appreciate the power and beauty of your youth until it’s too late. …And wear sunscreen…

at Holly’s age, building character is the goal. Planning careers, though, even young adults often have no idea what the “real world” is like.

Looking back, I realize I’m kinda that way. If I had actually studied in college then (I assume) I’d be better off financially.

But then my whole life would most likely be totally different. I wouldn’t have gone to Vietnam (perhaps), wouldn’t have met my ex-wife (most likely) – who knows if I’d be happier than I am now.

I’m doing OK, but it would be nice to have more financial security. I imagine we can all say that !

Teens listen better than they let on—especially to adults who are not their parents but who care about them and they know it.
