Visited the local Walmart today. Seemed like half the ladies in the store were wearing yoga pants.

Hey, its the only reason to watch Beach Volleyball – and its now an Olympic sport.

In all truth, I have yet to see even one WNBA player who is attractive in my view, but being attractive is not why they’re on the team, right?

Next time someone claims that WNBA players have made great strides in being recognized and respected as the world class athletes that they are, I will merely direct them to this comments thread.

I still don’t understand why any athlete would go along with women’s beach volleyball uniform mandates…

Reminds me of when former FIFA president suggested revising the uniforms for women’s soccer to use hotpants and and sports bras.

Does anyone ever consider what the athletes, (i.e., the women) want to wear? That should be the main consideration, within reason. My understanding, as an example, is that the the players (US team anyway) in the Olympics women’s beach volleyball wanted the bikinis as their outfit, rather them being selected by some old guy who was donating money or had other influence. For most women’s sports, something comparable to what the men wear seems appropriate. If they want to pose for SI or whoever in something else, that’s their personal decision.
