Tears falling here too. Lovely tribute. If only all people would realize the importance of kindness. I know Linda did. As does Graham Harrop. Thanks for this lovely comic.
Thank you Graham for acknowledging the world’s loss of a truly beautiful person. She made the world a kinder place to live in. No small miracle! (((hug)))
Beautiful message, Graham.Thank YouLinda would had loved it.“We are all one…”Deep Peace, Everyone. Thanks for all of the good times, Linda. We will forever miss you.
Bravo!Through the tears I must say that this is a beautiful tribute Graham. I’m sure that Linda is looking down at this quite pleased. She was a truly beautiful lady who will be missed by us all.
Oliver, Annie and Graham’s tribute to Linda Dean today is lovely. There are no finer commenters than those on Ten Cats. Linda, we’ll miss you but we’ll never forget you.
So lovely, I was in such a happy mood (and gone yesterday). Sorry to hear of Linda’s passing, but she would be very happy for such a tribute!
None of us know when (especially around my age) but we can enjoy what life provides for us and try to pass on knowledge (and all our tools for esoteric crafts). We were still in bed when I heard this morning about James Garner. I did not realize he was 10 years my senior.
What an absolutely beautiful and touching tribute. I haven’t said so before, but I will miss Linda too. Her pictures and posts are one reason I always checked the comments here and at Citizen Dog even if I didn’t have time to check everywhere.
I’ve not been here long, but can appreciate a really beautiful tribute to someone who sounds like she was a very nice person. Godspeed, Linda! And thank you, Graham Harrop, for the beautiful tribute!
What a nice tribute to Linda, Mr.Harrop. While I did not know her, seeing and reading her posts made me feel like I did. I’ve always felt that if you want to measure someone’s life, just see how many people pay tribute to you when you are gone…rest in peace Linda.
I always check back here before going to bed. This strip because of Graham and the commentators and those who read, but don’t comment, and I feel there are many, make this one of the happiest, soothingest places to be.
Goodnight everyone. Graham, Just had to say, Sir, YOU ARE A GOOD MAN!
I just got home from Texas and Linda’s memorial. I cant begin to tell you everything now, but Mr Harrop, you have my heart in your hands and my tears are overflowing. So much in the last week to take care of and it is just now settling in as to how much I am going to miss my friend, and how much you all cared for her. I have to leave now, because I have to cry, kick the bed and in general have an emotional breakdown. So much to do and so much has been done and now all that is left is to remember and feel the loss. But she would have been amazed at the caring and the joy – Thank you all. Especially you Graham, Dry, 2Old, Lexi, Rikki Tavvi, and Happy, and maybe especially Eldo, she considered you the best of all that there was on Ten Cats, along with Queen of America, the best foster mom going, Beth whom she continued to pray for, Lady Cat who loved KoKo and Yum Yum as much as she and Lillian Braun did…so many I cant begin to name you all. She always said 10 Cats people were the kindest, gentlest and happiest people out there. She was right. I will tell you about the Texans tomorrow and the memorial. I am exhausted and just want a shower and a cry and to love on Tinker and Belle. Good night my new friends.
A serious contender for cartoon of the year. Awesome. Not only in what it expresses, but in what it implies as well. This is a secular, subjective moral statement that puts to shame any religious pronouncement on the topic. As Somerset Maugham put it: “The right thing is the kind thing”.
I just found this strip yesterday. I’d read about Linda’s passing on another strip and someone else said something about “Ten Cats,” so I thought I’d wander over here. Linda must have indeed been a very, very wonderful person judging by everyone’s comments. I am sorry I wasn’t able to get to know her. And such a thoughtful comic, Mr. Harrop! I am sure Linda’s friends were deeply moved. I know I was when I realized you’d included a message about Linda. I’d like to continue to come back to this comic…there appears to be many kind souls here. ;)
It’s getting late but I knew there were more posts that I would want to read. Since I’m out of town, my foster babies are being cared for by another great foster mom so I don’t have any pics to post. I talked to her today and she said they are all doing great. Maybe Linda is looking down on them and watching their antics.

That was really sweet of Graham – not a lot of cartoonists would have done that. I agree with Catzy – the colors are beautiful.
