National Wear Your Pearls Day. I can’t. I don’t own any pearls. When I was a kid, I had one of those real cheap strands of fake pearls – the kind you could get for around $1 at the dime store, but I don’t even have those anymore.
Sounds about right, December 15 is National Cat Herder’s Day! Although the only job remotely close to cat herding is working at your local animal shelter, this holiday is not dedicated to cats. This celebration is meant for those who can manage others and themselves no matter what chaos is thrown their way.
Yea! Today’s strip isn’t depressing, and actually funny! We got the prize yesterday for the LEAST amount of rain from yesterday’s storm, barely 1/3 of an inch. Of course the towns north and south got up to 2 inches. At least the mountains are pretty, snow level looks about 6000 feet, I’m at 4000.
Semi-busy day here. Brad has to take down the outside lights; I don’t want them left on while gone in case of some electrical issue. It’s just one of those spinning things that blinks and sparkles all over the front of the house and yard so it’s not like putting up all of those strings of lights people use. Last load of laundry, run the dishwasher, run the vacuum and dust (again!) get my nails done. The prezzies for the cat sitter are on the table, all of the cookie tins and candy bags have been delivered. Hotel reservations copies are in the computer bag.We’re both all packed and ready to head out. My sister is winging her way towards LROS and should be there about1:00 PM. We’ll pick her up at her hotel early tomorrow morning. If anyone lives in the Santa Fe area, I’m putting in my order for cold and snow. I have cute holiday sweaters and I want to wear them! No, they’re not fugly. One is grey with a white kitty wearing a red sweater and one is a red with a black and white kitty. That one isn’t really "holiday’ but it IS cute.
I hope everyone here has a safe and happy holiday, including Graham and our little warehouse friends. If todays’ strip is an indication of good things to come, awesome! Maybe Santa can sprinkle some magic dust like he does in Overboard and fix the warehouse.

Hooray, Santa to the rescue! (Hopefully.) Nice that this arc has finally become more upbeat. On another note, saw five crows while in town today.
