I love having my grandkids here. I don’t actually know what they look like tho, since their faces are buried in their lap tops. LOL….At 13 and 16, its important to not lose a minute of interaction with their friends. Remember being bored at grandma’s? At least they aren’t that. I hope they remember any of this.

Now, when the lady returns Lily, we’ll be back all the way.

National Regifting Day. I have a couple Christmas candles which I was thinking of giving someone as a Christmas gift and I’m trying to remember if they were a gift from someone else. Maybe I’ll just keep them.

For me, it is also Christmas Candy & Pie Day. I will be in my kitchen making fudge, divinity and a chocolate cream pie for Christmas. Ooooo – I think I just gained 10 pounds just thinking about how many calories that adds up to!

Lily needs to be at home, just like we are.

We left Santa Fe yesterday. Stayed in KIngman last night. Got here exactly 4 hours later. Too early to check my sister into the hotel here. So, off to lunch. Then to the high school so Brad could pick up something. Then to WalMart – since we hadn’t planned to be here, we had no fresh vegs or fruits. Needed to get some things for a Christmas dinner. That was fun. WM the day before Christmas Eve? A mad house! No hams or turkey breasts. By now, it time to get Sandy to her hotel. Then Brad and I went to Lins and he got a little ham. By the time we got home, again, it was another 5 hours – a VERY long day. Unpacked, doing laundry, mail, etc. Speaking of mail, I put a vacation hold on ours from Dec 16 to the 26th. We stopped at the post office so I could pick it all up. She had NOTHING. We came home, and it was all stuff into the mailbox. I was furious! I called her and told her and said I want the supervisor to know. She said she would tell him.

Right. I will be sending a complaint.

I did almost all errands that were needed today…except gassing up my car. But as it is going to stay above freezing the next week, it can wait. We may set a record high on Christmas day…or for sure be in the top 10 warmest Christmas days. I have all the food needed to cook for Christmas. I will make a cake tomorrow, still wavering between a coconut cake or a pineapple cake. Both are dog friendly, so the dogs are undecided too. I will also make cranberry sauce tomorrow (a bag of cranberries and a big navel orange, chopped fine and sprinkled with just a bit of sugar). A baking hen is thawing in the fridge and sweet potatoes are scrubbed for cooking tomorrow. It will just be Sarah (my daughter) and me, for Christmas dinner, although a few neighbors will drop by. So plenty of dessert is necessary. Also Santa is giving me a bottle of Bird Dog salted caramel bourbon to add to the boiled custard. Can’t wait.

Hooray! Now that’s a miracle! Now all they have to do is get Lily back . Thank you, Graham, thank you! :D On another note, saw two sparrows while out walking today.

Those folks who go around fixing up people’s houses! They’re wonderful!
